Money
With a penetrating look into the shadow side of foreign aid, Director Isaac Isitan tells the story of how the relatively wealthy countries of Turkey and Argentina went bankrupt in less than a decade. Using a macro-economic lens, he reveals how the fiscal policies imposed by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund have plunged entire nations into economic crisis. The film ends on an “up note” as these countries—left with little or no cash—redefine economic value by initiating credit and barter systems and creating local parallel economies.
