Enron
Once one of the world’s leading companies, with holdings in electricity, natural gas, pulp and paper, and communications, Enron’s downfall came at the end of 2001 when its accounting was revealed to be sustained by institutionalized and creatively planned fraud. The film follows the events leading to Enron’s crash, including its use of "market-to-market" accounting, in which Enron added potential future profits into their bookkeeping ledgers and claimed vast profits where none existed.
